Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the results of the “Earnings Structure Research” for 2022. Researchers conducted this study using the month of November as a reference. In the study, the total monthly paid hours worked was 201.3. While the monthly paid hours worked for men was 206.3, this rate was 191 hours for women. According to the study, the average monthly income per person is 12 thousand 450 liras in total. The average monthly per capita earnings of paid men was calculated as 12 thousand 487 lira. This situation was recorded as 12 thousand 376 lira for women.

Employees’ earnings generally increased in direct proportion to their education level. In other words, as the level of education increased, earnings also increased. According to the study, the highest annual average gross earnings were achieved by higher education level of education. The average annual gross earnings at the higher education level was calculated as 207 thousand 112 liras for men. For women, it was recorded as 171 thousand 568 liras.

At the bottom of the row, there is a surprising sector. The last place on the list is the accommodation and food service activities sector with 99 thousand 290 liras. With 104 thousand 768 liras, it found itself at the bottom of the list of the highest-earning professions in Turkey.

The highest annual average earnings were obtained by the managers profession group with 276 thousand 507 lira. Then come the professionals with 200 thousand 195 liras. The lowest average annual gross earnings was calculated as 94 thousand 849. Thus, the lowest earnings were in the group of qualified agriculture, forestry and aquaculture workers.
