The Greeks’ Bayraktar TB2 was supposed to be the UCAV hunter, but it sank!

Great progress is being made all over the world, especially in the military field. Wars, border occupations and countries’ desire to act as a deterrent take technological competition to the next level. In this context, Greece was pursuing a project that would challenge Turkey. But things didn’t go well for them. Here are the details of Greece’s defense industry company, which went bankrupt while planning to produce the Bayraktar TB2 fighter…

Bayraktar was going to produce a TB2 fighter, but it sank! Here is the Greek Soukos Robots

Perhaps the most successful of Turkey’s domestic and national defense industry moves are UAV and UCAV technologies. Successful local and national defense industry companies such as Baykar and TUSAŞ are carrying out great projects in the aviation industry. Of course, in addition to these successful works, they also attract attention from defense industry companies of other countries.

In this context, companies in rival countries are developing defense projects for Turkish defense industry projects. One of them is Soukos Robots, a Greek defense industry company. The company, which is working on an Anti-Drone System called Minotaur, which will be on the defense side against UAVs and UCAVs, which have been among the determining factors in recent times, had introduced it in the past months.

A date has been given for the domestic air defense system “SIPER”! Acceptance tests have started!

Minotaur, which looks like an armored vehicle from the outside, was detecting UAV and UCAV systems around it with its Anti-Drone-focused defense system, tracking them and destroying them at the most appropriate time. Built on an 8×8 all-terrain vehicle, the system had many optical radars, grenade launchers and laser weapons. But with the collapse of the company, the project was shelved.

According to the information received, the Greek company Soukos Robots currently has a loss of 12.7 million euros and a debt of 50 million euros. So what do you think? Don’t forget to express your opinions in the comments section…
