The federal and state governments are struggling to find an appropriate response to the escalating corona situation. Before the corona summit, the Union and the SPD are arguing in particular about restrictions for unvaccinated people (2G rule) and the question of whether it is necessary to constantly check whether the pandemic emergency has to be declared again.

The federal and state governments have written 19 points on nine pages that are intended to turn the tide in the worsening corona situation. “We can only defeat this virus with a collective effort,” says the draft resolution for the corona summit of the federal and state governments on Thursday, which is available to the Handelsblatt. The paper is, however, more of a basis for discussion at the Prime Minister’s Conference, and by no means all points are united, they say.
