The whole world is talking about the “alien” mummy debate that took place in the Mexican Parliament on September 13. Although many media organizations, including us, approached this incident with suspicion, they reported it. With the intensity of the agenda, we were caught up in this excitement and made assertive headlines and sentences. We have compiled for you Jaime Maussan, who claims the existence of aliens, and his previous dubious claims. As verification sites share today, Jaime Maussan has a very shady past. Moreover, although this demonstration of the existence of aliens in the Mexican Parliament is impressive, it is quite problematic in some respects.
One of those who draw attention to these problems is Çağla Üren, who shares scientific content on Twitter, or its new name, the X platform.
Üren, who wrote a very long article, first included an important detail about this session. Accordingly, the session does not indicate that the Mexican Government or Parliament accepts the existence of aliens. This session is just a session where a group of scientists present the mummified body they found to the public and testify.
However, Jaime Maussan, who introduces himself as the journalist and Ufologist who made the presentation here, draws attention. Maussan previously appeared before us in 2015 with a mummified corpse that he claimed was an alien. However, research proved that this child corpse with a pointed skull was human, not alien.
Maussan appeared before us with a similar questionable situation in 2017, claiming the existence of aliens. The five mummies unearthed in the Nazca region of Peru had long skulls and three fingers on each of their hands and feet.
Maussan claimed that these mummies, like today, were unlike anything alive in the world. However, scientists examining these corpses revealed that the mummies were human. According to experts, the fact that all the mummies had three fingers was a manipulation. Scientists believe that the pointed skulls were caused by their heads being tied as part of a religious ritual.
Another interesting situation emerged from the Mexican National Autonomous University mentioned in the statement. For now, Maussan’s claim has not been refuted yet. In this sense, as in the other two claims, the mummy’s DNA will be examined. Later, scientists will make a statement on this subject. However, if this claim turns out to be untrue, it is a matter of curiosity whether Maussan’s studies on the existence of aliens, using the same methods, will be taken seriously.
