Google Play Store will bid farewell to the Movies and TV category
According to the statement made by Google, the Movies and TV category will be removed from the Play Store. However, it will continue to serve users through the application through a different application. This app will also be Google TV.
Starting in May, it will be mandatory to use the Google TV app to buy and rent movies and TV shows on Android mobile devices and tablets. On the other hand, it was emphasized that users can continue to use the content purchased from the Movies and TV category in the Google Play Store on Google TV in the same way.

Last year, the Google TV app was redesigned. The goal was to help you browse movies and TV shows from your favorite streaming apps in one place and discover new content through recommendations based on your tastes. Starting May 2022, you will use the Google TV app to buy, rent and watch movies and TV shows on your Android mobile device or tablet.
