Like other brands, MINI is also looking for a place in the electric car market. The British manufacturer, which first entered the electric car market in 2020 with the MINI Cooper SE model, will be in front of us with its recently renewed model. MINI shared the specs and camouflaged images of the electric Cooper.
The electric MINI Cooper comes in two versions
Deciding to give some information about the vehicle, whose images were previously published on the internet, MINI shared the camouflaged photos and technical features of the new model. Accordingly, the new generation electric MINI Cooper will be presented with two different options.
The entry-level version will be called the MINI Cooper E. A single electric motor will serve in the new model, which offers a range of 300 kilometers with its 40.7 kWh battery. The electric motor positioned on the front axle will have 181 horsepower.

On the other hand, the MINI Cooper SE will be at the top of the model range. The same engine is also used in the model, which offers a range of up to 400 kilometers with its 54.2 kWh battery. However, the new model’s range of up to 400 kilometers is seen as a big step forward. As is known, the first version of the MINI Cooper SE offered a range of only 233 kilometers.
The all-electric Mini Cooper, which will be produced as a three-door, rises on an all-new EV platform called Spotlight, developed in collaboration with BMW Group’s Chinese partner Great Wall Motor. Production of the new model will start in China as of November.
Alongside the Cooper, MINI is planning two more electric models. The first of these models will be the Countryman, which is expected to go into production this year. In addition, the new model range of MINI will be completed with the Aceman, which appeared as a concept last year.
