Fntastic announced its closure with this statement:

Today we are announcing the closure of Fntastic studio. The Day Before failed financially and we don’t have the resources to continue. All our income is used to pay our debts to our partners.

We invested all our effort, resources and man hours into the development of our first major game, The Day Before. We really wanted to release new updates to show the full potential of the game, but unfortunately we do not have enough funding to continue working.

We would like to underline that we received no money from the public during the development of The Day Before. We did not do a pre-order or crowdfunding campaign. We worked tirelessly for five years, shedding our blood, sweat and tears for the game.

Right now The Day Before and Propnight’s future is uncertain, but servers will remain up and running.

We apologize if we did not meet your expectations. We did everything in our power, but we miscalculated our capabilities. Game development is a very challenging endeavor.

We are grateful to everyone who supported us during these difficult years. The last eight years have been an amazing journey:

2015: Opening of the studio
2016: The Wild Eight release
2017: Dead Dozen release
2018: Release of Radiant One
2021: Propnight release
2023: The Day Before release”

It is unknown what will happen now, players call Fntastic a “scammer”
