The Turkish Armed Forces Sports Force Pentathlon Team made us proud by becoming world champions at the 67th 2023 World Military Pentathlon Championship, held in Sweden last August with the participation of 16 countries. The cup was delivered to its owner, but with a difference.
The cup was given permanently to the Turkish Armed Forces Steeplechase Relay Team.
In the Military Pentathlon World Championships, which started in 1999, the cup is given to the winning team of the year and then transferred to the country that wins the championship the next year. However, as stated in the rule book, “It is permanently awarded to the team that becomes champion for the fifth time in total.” His decision crowned the outstanding success of our team. Thus, the cup was permanently given to the Turkish Armed Forces.

By the International Military Sports Council (CISM); The cup, which has been transferred from the champion country to the next champion in the steeplechase relay competitions in the Military Pentathlon World Championships since 1999, was permanently delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces for the first time.
The cup in question; According to the CISM Military Pentathlon Rule Book, “It is awarded permanently to the team that becomes champion for the fifth time in total.” In accordance with the provision, it was permanently given to the Turkish Armed Forces Steeplechase Relay Team, which brought us this honor by coming first in the 67th World Military Pentathlon Championship held in Halmstad, Sweden, between 20-27 August 2023.
