The Crew Motorfest Beta Review

We participated in The Crew Motorfest’s closed beta that opened on Friday and now we are here with what the game has to offer and ‘pull’.

The Crew We loved the series at first for its story and wide open world. We were naturally excited when the second game was announced, but this game had nothing to do with the first one. It was more like the Forza Horizon series. It had a huge open world and a large catalog of vehicles.

Now again Forza Horizon reminiscent of the new The Crew Motorfest Here we are with the game. After I manage to play the closed beta of the game somehow, I will share with you my experience as your editor and his stance on major car games.

The Crew 2’s physics were weird compared to other racing games.

For example, if you have a drift class car, this vehicle could slide like butter. This could affect your overall gameplay as it caused you to shape your drifting experience in general according to that mechanic. But since this does not happen when you buy a normal racing car. The Crew 2emphasized that it was arcade more than usual.

In this way, feeling the limits of each vehicle was also a problem at some point. For example, a drift class Ford Mustang Think you got it. If you wanted to use the same vehicle in street racing, you had to go and buy a Ford Mustang from the street racing category. This was annoying, of course.

At Motorfest, however, this wall seems to have disappeared. Because there is a catalog where you can buy vehicles, but as we mentioned, it is not divided into classes.

Physics are much better than the previous game.

of The Crew 2 we can say that neither the vehicle nor the driving physics are good. Okay, we’re not expecting a BeamNG physics, but what would happen if we at least felt the weight, speed and drive of these vehicles? Fortunately, the developers heard our voices and at Motorfest They brought the physics to a much better point.

For example, if the vehicle you are driving is a muscle car, on take-off you feel its weight. If it is Japanese made, you can feel its agility, but in the corners. if you are not careful You realize that you will slip. Or if you are using an old model car, their weight is transferred to you. Racing by feeling these also added variety to the game.

You can see how much work has been done on diversity as soon as you start. In a good way, of course.

When you first enter the game To a race with JDM vehicles you are involved. You race with neon lights as if you are in an anime. Then you go off-road and compete with both off-road vehicles and motors. Except this F1 type A race greets us. This race shows wheel damage and you can change wheels at pit stops.

vintage tools There is a nice detail in the part you use, as in F1. Normally you use nitro in the game but since these vehicles are old neither nitro nor GPS technology is integrated. Considering their weight, I think it will be quite enjoyable to drive them.

In addition, a feature that I have been waiting for years to come to car games has finally been added to this game. Yes; game’s graphics, photo mode, physics etc. It’s fine, but the thing that excited me the most was the steering angle. Normally Forza Horizon and steering wheels in previous The Crew games when turning 180 degrees there’s a larger angle of rotation here. Although this sounds simple, it is worth saying that it makes the dash cam more enjoyable.

Other than these, although not shown in the entrance boats, airplanes and engines is in the game. In fact, the information that you can transfer your garage in your The Crew 2 account to the new game is constantly shared.

As someone who is interested in racing games in general, I can say that I love The Crew Motorfest. But since this is still in beta, it wouldn’t be right to say anything definitive.

The diversity within the game seems to keep the experience constantly colorful. For example Porsche’s It has its own playlist. Except for brands like this, like JDM, off-road classroom-based activities there is also. Our open world is also very enjoyable and the graphics are delicious. You can get very eye-catching frames with the settings in the photo mode.

For example, my simple take is as follows:

Although there is an issue that will be fixed at the exit of the game, it has to be said. The closed beta on the computer was a pain at first.

The video you see above is my own recording. When I first entered the game, I dived directly without touching the settings and I barely saw 20 FPS I can say. It’s not limited to that though. While using my Xbox One X controller on the computer without any problems, the game could not detect this controller properly. For example, when I want to turn left, it is as if I have turned the right analog. camera with steering wheel was translating.

Now “Well maybe your system is not enoughYou might think, ‘but on the system where I play the game Ryzen 5 5500, RTX 3070 Ti and 32GB RAM exists. This, you’ll appreciate, shows that the problem is in the game.

The solution to the FPS problem, “what’s the point?” he had said.

Different YouTubers have the same problem when I talk to someone if it is installed on the computer OBS program He suggested that I remove it. At first, I thought maybe the game was crashing because the application I used to take screen recording was running, but the FPS did not change even when it was closed.

The last time I uninstalled OBS the game on ultra settings I was able to play on 60 FPS. This problem will probably disappear when the final version of the game is released. However, I wanted to share it with its solution, since it gives a lot of players a headache.

In conclusion of The Crew MotorfestI think The Crew 2 is the game he wanted to be but couldn’t be. See, Forza Horizon 5 is basically an arcade game, but it seems realistic to us because it balances well.

The Crew 2, on the other hand, missed its taste. As far as I’ve seen in the closed beta, Motorfest has left it to its taste. New content and tools will definitely come with updates. Together we will see what the game will become. Pre-order price of the standard version of the game 1,199 TL. I leave you the comment on this matter.
