MSI Thin GF63, which has a thickness of 21.7 mm and a weight of 1.86 kg, draws attention with its brushed aluminum design. MSI Thin GF63 12V, which comes only in red and with a monochrome backlit keyboard, has a 15.6-inch IPS screen. Let’s look at the features of the screen, which has tapering frames on the sides.

The IPS screen, which offers Full HD, that is, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution, has a 144 Hz refresh rate. The computer comes with double-sided 2 x 2 watt internal speakers at the bottom of the computer, and you can get a much improved sound when you connect it to sound systems or headphones with the Nahimic 3 audio amplifier.

When we look at the input and output ports of the computer we are reviewing, we see two 3.5 mm gold-plated audio jacks on the right side. There are separate jack inputs for microphone and audio.

Offering 2 type A USB 3.2 Gen1 connections on the right side, the computer also offers USB 3.2 Gen 1 and Display Port combo output in Type C form. Again, on the right side, there is a RJ45 ethernet jack and a kensington lock.

On the left side of the product, in my opinion, there is a type A USB 3.2 Gen1 connection port and power input. There is only one output on the back of the product and that is HDMI. In other words, you can transfer images to 2 monitors at the same time with DisplayPort and HDMI connections.

MSI Thin GF63 12V features

The computer, powered by Core i5-12450H, one of Intel’s H series processors, has 8 physical cores. The processor, which has 4 performance and 4 efficiency cores, can increase its speed up to 4.4 GHz with Turbo Boost.

Thanks to Hyper Threading, the processor, which appears to have 12 cores virtually, is physically 8 cores. The TDP value of the processor, which has 12 MB cache, is 45 watts.

On the graphics card side, we see that Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4050 is used. The boost frequency of the graphics card, which can reach 45 watts of maximum graphics power with Dynamic Boost, is 1605 MHz.

The graphics card, which has 6 GB GDDR6 video memory, also offers you all the capabilities of the Ada Lovelace architecture such as DLSS 3.

MSI Thin GF63, which can be turned into a thin and powerful business computer with Nvidia Studio drivers, is also a complete gaming computer with Nvidia Game Ready drivers.

With its Full HD resolution screen, you can achieve effective performance in games when you activate DLSS 3.

You can also benefit from the ray tracing technology offered by Nvidia in the RTX series cards in the RTX 4050.

When we look at the RAM side, there are 2 RAM slots on the computer. 2 slots support up to 64 GB of RAM in total. In the model we reviewed, a single 8 GB RAM was used.

You can add 8 more GB of RAM to the computer and purchase it as 8 x 2 = 16 GB. Additionally, adding RAM on MSI’s side does not cause any warranty issues. If you cannot add it yourself, you can also ask the service to add it.

In order to keep the price of the product more affordable in our country, the RAM is left as 8 GB. In order to use the potential of the computer, I recommend a minimum of 16 GB of RAM.

The computer we reviewed used an NVMe-based SSD with a capacity of 512 GB and 4th generation PCI Express support. You can insert a total of 2 disks into this computer. 1 of them is NVMe disk and 1 is 2.5 inch SATA SSD or HDD.

MSI Thin GF63 12V connection features

Featuring Intel’s WiFi 6 AX201 modem and Bluetooth 5.2 support, the computer supports modern wired and wireless connection units.

Cooler Boost cooling system

The computer we reviewed has a slim design. This design also includes a 45W processor and an external graphics card. With the Cooler Boost cooling system, you can use the computer both silently and coolly, without compromising performance.

You can choose your usage scenario and customize the computer’s fan and power options via MSI Center. In the silent scenario, the computer is truly silent. At full load, when you run the computer’s fans at full performance, fan noise is heard.

Battery: Using a 3-cell embedded battery with a power of 51 watt hours, MSI offers the product to you with a 120 watt adapter.
