Nuremberg – Now it’s official: Nuremberg has a new Christ Child.
High school student Teresa Windschall (17) wins against five competitors in the final round. She replaces Benigna Munsi (19) in office. For two years she will speak the prologue on the gallery of the Frauenkirche on the Hauptmarkt and open the world-famous Christkindlesmarkt on November 26th.
“When I saw the Christ Child for the first time as a child, I also wanted to become a Christ Child,” says the 1.65 tall and passionate dancer. Her hobbies are playing the violin, ballet and tennis. “I play tennis with friends for fun,” she says.

The highlight for them at the Christkindlesmarkt is still the children’s Christmas with the carousel. “I still use it every year.”
A jury member wants to know what she particularly likes about the Christkindlesmarkt: “The small stalls, gingerbread and of course the Nuremberg sausage.” Her parents Barbara (52) and Reinhard Windschall (64) are happy for their daughter: “We are completely overwhelmed .
