Dusseldorf Anyone who is invited to an assessment center has already passed the first major hurdle in the application process. After all, such an invitation means that the letter of motivation and résumé have already made a good first impression.
However, many assessment centers are currently taking place online due to the Covid 19 pandemic. “This has no effect on the content or the level of difficulty,” explains assessment center coach Johannes Stark. “It’s just a different implementation format.”
In the assessment center, whether online or in person, job applicants have to prove themselves above all: in simulated situations that can also occur in everyday work or through exercises such as role plays or group discussions.
Another popular method is to ask quirky questions about the job or personality of the applicant.
