3nm technology appears to offer a power consumption reduction of 25 to 30 percent and an additional performance advantage of 10 to 15 percent per transistor compared to N5 (NVIDIA-optimized 5nm variant). However, 3nm technology will appear with a 1.7 times increase in transistor density compared to its predecessor.

Nvidia’s HPC/AI-focused “Blackwell” architecture is expected to use TSMC’s 3nm technology along with the latest HBM3e memory solutions. It is claimed that the gaming-focused RTX 50 series will be offered to users with GDDR7 memory.
