TCG Anadolu was screened during the final test!

Shipyards in Turkey have been producing world-class production in the civil field for a long time. Capturing this quality in the military field and even becoming one of the leading countries was undoubtedly with the MİLGEM project, whose intellectual foundations were laid in the 90s and started to be materialized as of 2004. The last point reached in this area is the TCG Anadolu ship, which is currently undergoing sea acceptance tests.

TCG Anadolu was screened during the final test!

The construction of TCG Anadolu (L-400), which was first started in 2014, was completed and launched by Sedef Shipyard. After the tests, the assembly of the electronic systems started. It is scheduled to enter service by the end of this year.

However, contrary to popular belief, TCG Anadolu is not actually an aircraft carrier. It is in the amphibious assault class, which has a short and sloping runway that allows some aircraft to land and take off under certain conditions. In other words, its primary purpose is to enable Land Forces troops, armored vehicles and tanks to land in a region during war or operation.

Bayraktar TB3 using a domestic engine appeared for the first time!

Bayraktar TB3 features and design emerged in the sharing made by Baykar on his social media accounts.

Of course, it provides support with UAVs, SİHAs, helicopters and jet planes that can take off during wars and operations. However, since Turkey was removed from the F-35 project by the USA in recent years, it was decided to deploy between 50 and 110 Bayraktar TB3 SİHAs on it.

However, it should be noted that the number of SİHAs deployed on it can be reduced to 10 depending on the task, and helicopters such as T-129 Atak and Seahawk or different aircraft can be placed instead.

In the statements made by TAI and Baykar, it was said that versions of Hürjet and MIUS that can take off from this ship were also developed. In other words, both manned and unmanned jet-powered aircraft can be used, albeit with a delay. However, there are some question marks about whether they can serve as much as the F-35.

On the other hand, we see that the work is continuing at full speed to take the ship into inventory. In other words, the delivery ceremony planned until the end of 2022 will be held without a hitch. As you can see in the tweet shared above, we can say that the ship is ready for duty when viewed from the outside.
