TAI showed 2023 for the Lightning Test Facility!
The Lightning Test Facility, which will be completed by TAI by next year, is of critical importance for the Defense Industry. We can say that it is indispensable especially for countries that want to make 5th generation fighter jets, such as the National Combat Aircraft.
Of course, not only the MMU, but also other types of aircraft, jets, UAVs and SİHAs, as well as various missiles and rockets will be tested here. Its main purpose is to understand whether it can protect flight safety as a result of a possible lightning strike while cruising at high altitude, and whether there will be physical damage or electromagnetic interference.
Engine delivery has been made for the National Combat Aircraft: Production begins!
The USA delivered the expected engine for the National Combat aircraft. After that, it was said that production for the prototype would begin.
In the image above, we see that the rough construction of one of the facility buildings is almost complete. But right next to it, another block is being built. In addition, infrastructure works and the installation of devices that can produce high current, that is, lightning on aircraft, will begin within the next year.
