Table salt scandal in Friesland: Vaccine victims get compensation – Inland news

More than 10,000 people in Friesland (Lower Saxony) had to tremble for weeks: They did not know whether they were given the saving corona vaccine or an ineffective saline solution.

You will now receive an allowance if you get vaccinated again. Those who only have to repeat one vaccination can apply for an expense allowance of 35 euros from the district. For people who have to get both vaccinations, there is 50 euros.

Because: In the vaccination center in Friesland, a nurse had six vaccination syringes filled mostly with a saline solution. Because the police could not rule out that the woman had falsified more vaccinations, more than 10,000 people were invited to the vaccination tent again.

The application form for compensation can be downloaded from the district’s homepage. The form must be filled out, printed out and signed and can be submitted to the district by email or post. The NDR had previously reported.

Alternatively, the form can also be picked up from the cities and municipalities, the district further announced. An online form is currently being worked on, which should be available by the end of next week. Proof of the catch-up vaccination must be attached to the application. The state bears the costs, the disbursement is made through the district. “I would like to expressly thank the state of Lower Saxony that we can offer this unbureaucratic solution together,” says District Administrator Sven Ambrosy.
