Support These 2 Meme Coins From NOWPayments: Burn Feature For Sellers Arrived!

  • nowp has added a burn feature for Shiba Inu (SHIB) and Doge Killer (LEASH) that could make these cryptocurrencies more scarce.

NOWPayments, a non-custodial cryptocurrency payment platform, allows merchants to Shiba Inu (SHIB) or At Doge Killer (LEASH) launched a new on-demand burning feature that allows them to burn some of their profits.

The burn feature is not a new development for NOWPayment, as the Amsterdam-based company first introduced the feature in late December. However, the optional burn feature for sellers allows you to calculate the amount of your SHIB & LEASH profit directly in your NOWPayments account. Sellers only need to choose the percentages they want to spend to be able to burn the tokens. NOWPayments automatically calculates the specific amount of SHIB or LEASH that should be sent to a dead wallet.

There is also an option to add a widget to accept donations in the aforementioned cryptocurrencies in the merchant account.

Although the rise of the Shiba Inu price slowed down compared to the growth experienced in 2021, or even came to a standstill; The token still continues to gain more power on the sellers side. The latest addition to the list of vendors supporting the second largest meme cryptocurrency, which is accepted as a payment method by many companies, is the movie giant AMC.

Coin burn refers to the process of permanently removing a certain amount of tokens from circulation. Similar to companies buying back stocks, some cryptocurrency projects destroy some of their tokens to make what’s leftover more valuable. Shiba Inu advocates also want to make the token more scarce by making the token scarcer with regular burning events.

According to data provided by CoinMarketCap, the circulating supply of Shiba Inu currently stands at 549 trillion tokens.

While token burning is a daily news event for SHIB, not everyone is a supporter of token burning. Cardano creator Charles Hoskinson has repeatedly denied that the project has a token burning mechanism, and lashes out at critics every chance he gets on the subject.

In a blog post they shared today, NowPayment claims this latest move will give SHIB merchants/sellers “more visibility”.
