A big win – on and off the pitch!
The LA Rams win the 56th Super Bowl, beating underdogs Cincinnati 23-20. Sean McVay (36) becomes the youngest winning coach in history in his second game for the NFL title.
The triumph is also celebrated in the stands. Kelly Stafford (32), the wife of Rams quarterback Matthew (34), was diagnosed with cancer in 2019. The brain tumor was removed in a twelve-hour operation. Kelly had to learn to walk again – and is now celebrating the biggest win of his career with her husband!
It is a happy moment for the whole family. And that’s after a fight cramp football thriller!
The first bang after nine minutes! Stafford passes 17 yards to Beckham Jr. He catches and sails the ball through the end zone. Touchdown and extra point – LA takes a 7-0 lead.
And the Bengals? There’s not much to come. Chase catches a 46-yard pass from Burrows with one hand. A highlight – but Cincinnati does not make it into the end zone. Field goal – 7:3.
The Rams really got going in the second quarter! After two strong passes from Stafford, Kupp easily scored the touchdown because he was left completely alone.
Bitter for LA: Hecker and Gay screw up two-point conversion! So it only remains with the touchdown points – LA leads 13:3.
The Super Bowl 2022 – a clear thing? Are you kidding me? Are you serious when you say that! Suddenly the game tilts towards Cincinnati!
► First, the outsider unpacks a trick move: instead of burrow, running back Mixon throws the ball into the end zone. touchdown! Only 13:10 for the Rams. Curious: Because the injured Hargreaves runs onto the field to celebrate, there is a 15-yard penalty for the Bengals.
► Then the shock for LA: Beckham Jr. injured his left knee without opposition and cannot continue. This means that the Rams are missing their second most important wide receiver, Cincinnati can concentrate on top man Kupp.

► Higgens gets rid of Ramsey, sprints for a touchdown. Lucky for Cincinnati he counts! Higgins grabbed Ramsey for a 15-yard penalty. Nevertheless, it was suddenly 17:13 for the Bengals – game turned!
► Less than a minute later, Beckham’s substitute Skowronek can’t hold on to a pass. The Bengals intervene – Interception! Then they add a field goald. 20:13.
At least now LA’s nerves are on edge. Bengals quarterback Burrow is bluntly shoved wide, followed by a huge pack formation. The Rams can’t get past a field goal either – 20:16. Hardly anything works for them without Beckham!
The last quarter really hurts! Quarterbacks Stafford and Burrow are battered after clashes, and Stafford even needs a bandage on his left ankle. But both continue to play.
The game mutates into a battle of nerves. Both teams don’t leave an inch of space. The fans in the stadium feel that too – a good 100,000 people are strangely quiet and tense. It’s a football thriller!
A thriller with an unbelievable twist! The Rams are gradually working their way towards the end zone. And they actually do it! A minute and a half before the end, Kupp catches the decisive pass. Touchdown LA! 23:20! Victory for the favorite!
