new York All five passengers on board the missing submersible “Titan”, who wanted to look at the wreck of the Titanic four kilometers deep, are now officially dead. The debris found “corresponds to a catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber,” said US Coast Guard Admiral John Mauger at a press conference on Thursday. According to the operating company Oceangate Expeditions, the occupants are probably dead: “We now believe that our CEO Stockton Rush Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood, Hamish Harding, and Paul-Henri Nargeolet are sadly lost,” said Oceangate. The company did not comment on the circumstances of how the fatal outcome could have happened.
