Frankfurt Osman Ali is the master of more than $100 billion in customer assets at Goldman Sachs – and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) is nothing new to him. The co-head of quantitative investing reports that Goldman Sachs started investing 34 years ago in a data-driven manner.
The potential of AI for investors is enormous, says Ali: AI and algorithms could help “understand the markets better and make good investment decisions”. In his opinion, investment recommendations generated by AI could also be of quality in principle – but he would not rely on that just yet.
