Squid Game, which left its mark on a period, broke all the records in the Top10 list within 2 months. But, according to the statement made by Netflix last week, Stranger Things was very close to putting its name in the first place. Now he has taken over the throne.
Stranger Things breaks Netflix record!
Squid Game managed to reach 63 million watch hours in just 2 days in its first week. When it reached the 10th day, it surpassed 510 million watch hours. But the following week, it broke the all-time record, reaching 570 million watch hours (over 1 billion in 15 days).
In the following weeks, it reached 412 million, 258 million, 147 million, 90 million, 67 million and 42 million watch hours, respectively. When we look at the general total, it reached 2 billion watch hours in 2 months and became one of the most watched series not only on Netflix but also in the whole world.

Now, Netflix is experiencing a similar situation again with Stranger Things. The production, whose 4th season was released 2 weeks ago, was watched by 350 million in the first week. Of course, let’s say that this is the total of 4 seasons. But only its new season has reached more than 286 million watch hours.
Last week, it exceeded 515 million watch hours in total with its 4 seasons. Moreover, its first season alone reached 335 million watch hours. In other words, it reached 865 million watch hours in 10 days, surpassing Squid Game by 50 percent and took the record for the best debut.
Looking at the overall total, it was behind its 15-day release. So Squid Game was holding one last record. But Netflix announced this week’s most-watched. As can be expected, the seasons of Stranger Things settled in the top 4.
When we look at the total of the 4 seasons, we see that it has reached 310 million watch hours this week. In 15 days, it reached 1 billion 175 million watch hours. In other words, it left Squid Game behind by about 10 percent.
