Music and podcast streaming provider Spotify has taken a step closer to the blockchain world by posting a job posting via LinkedIn.
The Sweden-based company is looking for a senior backend engineer to work on new technologies such as Web3.
The recruit will take part in the experimental development team that tests how ideas with great potential for Spotify can be implemented.
This person’s job is “Growth opportunities that can be exploited thanks to new technologies such as Web3” Meanwhile, it is expected to run tests with both new products and Spotify’s existing products.
Job postings that bring the world of blockchain together with the name Spotify are not limited to this. The company is in addition to a senior engineer “Knowledgeable about Web3 and emerging technology industries” is also looking for a senior manager who will be responsible for innovation and market research.
Spotify has not yet made a detailed statement about its strategy for Web3 technology.
