Türk Telekom carried its digital transformation and technology experience to the field of culture and arts at Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM), of which it is the main supporter. The gala night held at the ‘heart’ of AKM, Türk Telekom Opera Hall, hosted a very special concert. Türk Telekom Special Performance staged by the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra was presented to the audience.

The show was held with a special team of 114 people.

In the night where a symphony orchestra performance was blended with digital art for the first time in Turkey; The works, performed live by an orchestra of 70, a choir of 40 and 4 soloists, were accompanied by the show created with the innovative stage and light design surrounding the entire hall. The show, which surrounded the entire venue, gave the audience a privileged experience.

The gala night, hosted by Türk Telekom CEO Ümit Önal with the participation of the Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Türk Telekom Chairman Ömer Fatih Sayan and many guests, witnessed a special performance by the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra.

Türk Telekom special performance from Istanbul Symphony Orchestra

In the Türk Telekom Special Performance by the Istanbul Symphony Orchestra, art lovers listened to the 12-piece repertoire with admiration. To the orchestra directed by the conductor Hasan Tura; Dilek Türkan, Cengiz Özkan, Görkem Ezgi Yıldırım and Mazhar Alanson accompanied him. As a result of physical, technical and architectural analysis, the concert held in Türk Telekom Opera Hall, which was designed to achieve the best natural acoustics, was highly appreciated by the audience.

The digital art show created with innovative stage and light design, reflected throughout the hall, also marked the night before the gala and during the orchestra performance. For the first time in Turkey, a symphony orchestra performance was blended with digital content, while the digital show accompanying the symphony performed by a 70-person orchestra, 40-person choir and 4 soloists in the iconic architecture of Türk Telekom Opera Hall gave the audience a privileged experience. The show that brings together the performing arts and the digital world; It was inspired by the stories of 12 works performed by the orchestra.

In addition to art and technology, Türk Telekom continues to contribute to AKM’s mission to become a more accessible center. Türk Telekom’s application ‘Voice Steps’, which aims to make life easier for the visually and hearing impaired, will soon be used in Atatürk Cultural Center as well. Thus, visually and hearing impaired art lovers will be able to visit the indoor and outdoor areas of Atatürk Cultural Center with this special application they have downloaded to their mobile phones.

While Türk Telekom prepares all the Wi-Fi hotspots in Atatürk Cultural Center and Beyoğlu Cultural Road, and the domestic 5G infrastructure it has developed together with its stakeholders, visitors will stay connected with end-to-end telecommunication services. AKM visitors will have the opportunity to spend time in Türk Telekom’s private hospitality area (Türk Telekom Lounge). The ‘robotcafe’, which will operate within the Atatürk Cultural Center, will also provide pleasant moments for all visitors. Türk Telekom will offer activities, workshops and organizations as well as privileges for art lovers at AKM and Beyoğlu Culture Road.
