Who is Sabire Aydemir?

Born on February 1, 1910 in İnebol, Sabire Aydemir completed her primary school in İnebol and her secondary education in Erenköy Girls’ High School in 1933. Although Aydemir initially planned to go to medical school and become a doctor, learning that female students will be admitted to the veterinary faculty for the first time that year. He preferred veterinary medicine because of his love for animals.

Aydemir graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in 1937. Then he worked as an assistant in the branch of bacteriology at Ankara Refik Saydam Hygiene Institute for 5 years. Bacteriology Specialist (expert) achieved the title. He worked as a bacteriologist veterinary surgeon at Istanbul Pendik Bacteriology and Research Institute, Ankara Etlik Veterinary Control and Research Institute.

By requesting his voluntarily assignment to Anatolia, he worked as the chief of the Bacteriology Specialist Rabies Laboratory from the Veterinary Control and Research Institute in Samsun Atakum and retired.
