Frankfurt Investors have reacted to the latest Fed minutes with additional purchases. After the publication of the central bank report, the US standard value index Dow Jones climbed by 0.6 percent to 32,115 points on Wednesday. The broad S&P 500 gained 1.1 percent to 3,983 points, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq gained 1.7 percent to 11,967.

As can be seen from the minutes of the monetary policy meeting on May 4th, all monetary watchdogs backed the half-percentage point increase that had been decided upon. According to the transcripts, most participants were also of the opinion that further steps of this size would be “probably appropriate” at the meetings in June and July.
