In recent months, it has been revealed that Sony is working on a new PlayStation 5 model. According to leaked information, the technical specifications of the PlayStation 5 Pro model will be close to its predecessor. Here are the PlayStation 5 Pro technical specifications and game requirements.
Sony PlayStation 5 Pro features become clear!
According to the report, games that support PSSR and offer a 4K 60 FPS experience with added or increased ray tracing effects will carry this label. Additionally, the documents mentioned by Insider Gaming confirm that the console will have a 28 percent faster memory subsystem and a 45 percent faster GPU than the current model.
Sony’s requirements for giving PlayStation games the ‘Enhanced for PS5 Pro’ label are as follows:
- Increased target resolution for titles running fixed resolution on standard console
- Increased target maximum resolution for titles running at variable resolution on standard console
- Increased target frame rate for games targeting constant frame rate on standard console
- Inclusion of PS5 Pro Raytracing effects
PS5 Pro is not expected to deliver the promised 4K 60 FPS experience in all games. Unfortunately, it is not possible to provide such an experience in highly anticipated games such as GTA 6, especially considering the limitations of the Zen2 CPU. Since Sony chose not to update the CPU architecture, it will only provide a 10 percent increase in clock speed.
Sony PS5 Pro is said to feature a custom AMD Viola APU with 8 Zen2 cores and new RDNA3 graphics with 60 Compute Units. Although Sony did not increase the capacity of the system memory, the memory will now run at speeds higher than 18Gbps.
