Solana Network Shock: One-Fifth of Verifiers Suddenly Offline!

Hetzner was already considering banning cryptocurrency node operators. The company’s terms of service state that crypto activities are prohibited.

Now it looks like Hetzner is taking action against SOL validators. Hetzner has yet to respond to a request for comment on the matter.

The Solana network appears unaffected, although 22% of the network’s security members are offline. The SOL status page does not show any interruptions as of the time of writing. The network has suffered multiple network outages before.

Delegates and validators affected by Hetzner’s move will need to find viable alternatives to continue earning their stake rewards. Solana Labs co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko urged network participants to move their stakes elsewhere.
