Dusseldorf Full responsibility for Cariad: After the management crisis at the end of last year, Volkswagen boss Herbert Diess, 63, took over responsibility for the software subsidiary on the group board. Now this responsibility is also laid down in the Cariad supervisory board: the VW boss is moving into the control committee and at the same time taking over the chairmanship.
According to company circles, the change at the top of the Cariad supervisory board should be completed “in a few days”. Herbert Diess replaces Audi CEO Markus Duesmann, 52, on the top control committee of the VW software subsidiary.
The change in the supervisory board is described as a “logical consequence” at Volkswagen. Duesmann has also passed on responsibility for the software to Diess on the Group Executive Board. A Cariad spokesman did not want to comment on the personnel.
