Munich, Stuttgart Siemens is to grow more strongly in the USA in the future. The Dax group is thus reacting to the increasingly difficult relationship between the USA and China and the US economic stimulus programs. “It is planned to set up production in the USA in several businesses,” according to Siemens supervisory board circles. It’s about additional capacities – not about relocation. “The focus is currently shifting more towards the USA.”
In view of the geopolitical tensions, the China euphoria of CEO Roland Busch has been dampened, can be heard in the corporate environment. Investors from Siemens had also recently shown concern that too great a concentration of risk could arise in the People’s Republic.
