NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal spoke about the fact that he advertised cryptocurrency exchange FTX.

Speaking to CNBC, O’Neal evaluated his relationship with FTX and distanced himself from the company.
“A lot of people think I’m part of the business, too.” O’Neal said, “But I only appeared in their commercials for a fee.” said.
O’Neal, who retired from basketball in 2011, said in his statements about cryptocurrencies last year, “I don’t understand (cryptocurrencies). So I would probably stay away until I fully understand what they are.” he said.
“I am very excited to partner with FTX to make crypto accessible to everyone,” he said when promoting FTX in June. O’Neal, looking back, makes the following statement:
“People know I’m very, very honest. I have nothing to hide. If I was involved, I would stand on the front line and show myself. But I was just the spokesperson.”
