“The saying ‘You always see yourself twice in life’ is very true, especially at work,” says Inga Rottländer, career expert at the Stepstone job platform.

Many people who switch continue to work in the same industry. So it is quite possible that you will still run into your former colleagues or bosses in the future – as customers or cooperation partners, maybe even as superiors.

“A professional resignation and a professional final spurt in the job are worthwhile,” explains Rottländer.
