We discover a new feature almost every day of the iPhone 15, which was released last September and took the world by storm. The secret about how the device has a particularly fast internet and network connection was revealed today. iPhone 15 is 24 percent faster than previous models in terms of 5G. Here are the details…
Qualcomm’s new X70 modem is used in the iPhone 15 series!
One of the notable changes in the iPhone 15 Pro model is the switch to Qualcomm’s new X70 modem for improved 5G performance. As can be seen from the Pro model, this change is also available in the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models. We think there is no need to mention the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Shahram Mokhtari from iFixit, known as technical service on Twitter and examining the inside of new devices, confirmed the new 5G modem. In his post, he included the phrase “Apple did not include last year’s Pro logic circuits in this year’s basic models.” In other words, improvements have been made regarding connectivity not only in the Pro but also in other models.
He also continued his post: “This also shows that Apple’s core models are not just little brothers who inherited last year’s legacy forever. “Despite the additional resources required for this, there seems to be a real desire to keep components on logic boards current and up to date.” Of course, there is also a small criticism here about the tradition of “continuing the same feature for generations” that everyone draws attention to.
Compared to the X65 modem used by Qaulcomm in the iPhone 14 series, the X70 model in the iPhone 15 series provides 24 percent faster connection support. This means a much smoother internet usage. But there is also the battery life part of the matter. Although the X70 model is superior in terms of speed, it consumes battery life faster. This is not a visible consumption, but Apple can balance the consumption with small updates it will release.
