Hamburg, Dusseldorf In front of Hamburg City Hall, a former political insider has turned into a symbolic outsider: Gerhard Schick, a member of the Greens for many years, is standing in a sky-blue vest with the logo of his “Finanzwende Citizens’ Movement” in the midst of a small group of demonstrators. One of them wears an Olaf Scholz mask and symbolically sweeps dirt under a carpet that says “memory gap” in large letters.
The proven financial market expert Schick dictated his daily slogan into the microphones to the journalists: Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) should finally clarify what content he remembers from the discussions with the management of the Hamburg MM Warburg Bank in terms of cum-ex deals . The Chancellor also had to comment on the suspicion that emails relating to the Warburg case had been systematically deleted.
