Orlando The German software group SAP concludes another important partnership for the use of artificial intelligence. The SAP management announced on Monday in Orlando that it would work with Microsoft in the future and integrate the US group’s AI language models into its products.

As the first concrete application, SAP mentions the use on the personnel platform “Success Factors”. “Today’s announcement is just one example of how we are enabling companies to fully realize the potential of generative AI,” said SAP CEO Christian Klein on Monday.

In the future, HR professionals will be able to use “Success Factors” to automatically formulate advertisements based on job profiles or to have a list of questions suggested for a job interview. The Microsoft solution “Viva Learning” will also make personalized training suggestions based on the data from the SAP system.

SAP is already cooperating with IBM and Google on AI

The new generation of artificial intelligence (AI) offers great potential for SAP: programs such as ChatGPT can generate content themselves and are therefore suitable as digital assistants for the office. Microsoft has a billion-dollar stake in OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT.

For SAP boss Christian Klein, an AI is a key element for the future success of the company. In the past few days, SAP has already announced that it will work with IBM and Google in the field of artificial intelligence. The declared goal is to integrate the technologies of different providers.

The providers of the AI systems benefit from the large reach of the German software manufacturer. It’s only a matter of time before Amazon Web Services (AWS), the market leader in cloud infrastructure, makes the list.

Further announcements are likely to be made from Tuesday, when SAP invites to the “Sapphire” customer conference in Orlando. Around 80 applications with generative AI are in the works at the software manufacturer, explained Product Development Director Thomas Saueressig recently at the Annual General Meeting.
