According to the BusinessKorea report, Samsung will now use more Exynos processors in its entry segment smartphones, which are frequently preferred in our country. At the same time, the company, which started to focus on potential markets from proven markets, took its first step in the processor field with the Galaxy A13, which was launched in North American countries.
The Galaxy A13 is the successor to the Galaxy A12, the best-selling smartphone of 2021, with sales of 51.8 million, according to Omida. Galaxy A12, which also holds the title of the first model in the world to exceed the 50 million threshold, contributed to MediaTek’s increasing its market share in the semiconductor industry with the MediaTek Helio P35 processor powered by it.
However, according to Samsung, using processors from companies such as MediaTek in entry-level models with high sales potential began to cause the company’s own Exynos chipsets to be left behind. For this reason, in addition to MediaTek Dimensity 700, the Exynos 850 option appeared in the Galaxy A13 model.
With this model, more Exynos processors will be used, especially in Samsung’s entry-level smartphones. Of course, in terms of performance, time will tell whether these processors will be appreciated by users.
