Examining the application, the LetsGoDigital team found that Samsung is working on a double-folding phone with reverse wireless charging technology. Firstly Galaxy S series and Note series Reverse wireless charging, which appears on devices, allows users to use their smartphones as powerbanks.
According to the leaked information, Samsung recently filed a patent application with the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office). The company will include an OLED display in the Tri-Fold model.
It is stated that Samsung’s operating system will include sensors and chips embedded in the hinges to adjust the user interface. For example, if both hinges are fully open, the sensors will transmit this information to the processor and display the processor UI elements on the screen.
The new model will be double-hinged and three-piece foldable, similar to several concepts showcased by Samsung Display at CES in January. It is estimated that the new model will include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 has one 3.2GHz Cortex-X2, three 2.8GHz Cortex-A710 and four Cortex-A510 cores.
