Russia’s war against Ukraine – all developments

French President Emmanuel Macron has warned Belarusian ruler Alexander Lukashenko about this, Allow Russia to station nuclear weapons on Belarusian soil. The Elysée Palace announced this after a phone call between the two statesmen on Saturday. In it, Macron asked Lukashenko to have Russian troops withdraw from his soil as soon as possible.

State media in Minsk had previously reported the phone call without providing any details. As the Elysée said, Macron asked the Belarusian ruler to cooperate with the international community in conducting humanitarian aid operations for Ukraine.

A referendum will be held in Belarus this Sunday on a constitutional amendment that would allow Lukashenko further terms in office and the future permanent stationing of Russian troops and nuclear weapons in the country.
