Russia’s war against Ukraine – all developments

A month after the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy thanked the country’s citizens for their resistance. The Ukrainian defenders stopped the enemy everywhere, Selenski said in his nightly video message on Friday night. He believes that millions of Ukrainians who would do anything for Ukraine’s victory and peace deserve medals. “I thank each and every one of them,” Zelenski said.

Zelenski also thanked the 27 EU heads of state and government for the sanctions against Russia. But he also said the support came too late to stop Putin from invading Ukraine. “Now we are discussing Ukraine’s membership of the European Union. At least here I ask you not to be late”, he said. He hopes that the biggest skeptics of EU enlargement – Germany, France and the Netherlands – will change course. Zelensky criticized Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban for maintaining close ties with Putin while Russia bombed Ukrainian cities.
