Developments in cryptocurrencies continue to be experienced in Russia.
In the crypto money adventure, which started with the Central Bank of Russia proposing to ban all crypto money activities in the country, Russian President Putin made a statement.
Putin, who is not in a prejudiced approach to crypto money, called for a “deal” on crypto money.
Because Putin wanted the Central Bank, which wants to ban cryptocurrencies, and the Ministry of Finance, which wants to regulate them, to meet at a common point.
Russian Authorities Agree on Cryptocurrency Regulation!
According to the Russian news agency RBK, Russian officials have agreed on regulations that will not ban cryptocurrencies in the sense that the Central Bank of Russia wants, but there will be some limitations.
According to RBK, in line with the agreement, the Russian government plans to regulate cryptocurrencies by the end of the year.
Russia’s roadmap on cryptocurrencies was signed by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The working group on cryptocurrencies includes the finance, economy, digital and interior ministries, the FSB security service and the central bank.
A representative of Chernyshenko confirmed the authenticity of the cryptocurrency roadmap and used the following statements about the roadmap:
“The points on the crypto roadmap are fully supported by all institutions except the Central Bank of Russia.”
According to the proposal of the crypto working group, the buying and selling of cryptocurrencies will only be provided by Russian banking institutions.
In this context, while there are some proposals to prevent foreign crypto exchanges from providing services to users in Russia, there is talk of allowing foreign platforms that have a license in accordance with the rules of the Russian state to operate.
