Russia intensifies attacks against Scandinavia

Finland’s prime minister wants to build a 3 meter high fence on the border with Russia. The project should be implemented by 2026.

Stockholm There has never been anything like it in the idyllic suburb of Stockholm: the noise of two Blackhawk helicopters wakes up the local residents in the early morning, masked people abseil from the helicopters, dozens of emergency vehicles drive up on the ground below. Neighbors see police officers smash windows and break into a house.

A short time later, a woman and a man, both in their sixties, are taken away. The Russian couple is accused of espionage. Since 2013, they are said to have forwarded sensitive information to Moscow. “We had to gain control of the people and the building as quickly as possible so that no evidence could be destroyed,” said head of operations Stefan Hector.
