Russia’s Security Council: USA and NATO are warring parties
The Russian leadership sees the USA and NATO as warring parties. “The US and NATO are involved in the conflict in Ukraine,” says Nikolai Patrushev, secretary of the powerful National Security Council and a close confidante of President Vladimir Putin.
They tried to drag it out, Patrushev told the Russian state news agency TASS a day after the US, Germany and other European countries promised to supply main battle tanks to Ukraine. What is happening in Ukraine today is the result of years of “hybrid war” by the West against Russia.
