First ROG with OLED screen: Zephyrus G14 and G16

ROG Zephyrus G14 and G16 were introduced with Eclipse gray and platinum white color options and a brand new design.

Zephyrus G14 and G16, the first ROG models with OLED screens, attract attention not only with their design and screen but also with their hardware features.

The new design draws attention especially on the cover of Zephyrus. Users can customize the new cross RGB LED strip, which is machined into the CNC Aluminum alloy case. Asus is making changes in the design of ROG series computers not only for gamers but also for content creators and business users.

The touchpad, which grew by 27.6 percent, has become very useful for designers with its 16:10 screen ratio.

Zephyrus G14 and G16, the first ROG series with an OLED display panel, have a 3K resolution screen with a response time of only 0.2 ms. The screen, which offers a 240 Hz refresh rate, offers a screen-to-body ratio of 88.4 percent. It allows the OLED screen to improve both image quality, speed on the panel, and overall slimming of the design.

The screen supports DCI P3 color gamut 100% and offers a contrast value of 1 million to 1.

With its renewed thermal design, ROG Zephyrus G16 can power a graphics card up to 115 watts along with RTX 4080 and RTX 4090. It can go up to 105 watts with 4050 – 4070 graphics cards.

There is also mux switch support.

The new ROG Zephyrus models, which will come with Intel’s new 14th generation Core i9 processors with artificial intelligence support, will now offer us all these features in a lighter and thinner way.

The ROG Zephyrus G16 model has a total weight of 1.95 kg and a thickness of 1.49 cm, including its 16-inch screen.

ROG Zephyrus will also impress you while watching games and movies without headphones, with its 6-speaker design.

ROG Strix G16 and G18

ROG Strix G16 and G18 models, which come with ROG Nebula supported displays, have a 240 Hz refresh rate. The screen has a 3ms delay and a 16:10 ratio. The screen, which can reach 500 nits of brightness, also has G-Sync support.

The ROG Strix family, which has a screen-to-body ratio of 90 percent in both the 16-inch and 18-inch models, is much more powerful thanks to the latest hardware support.

Offering processor options up to Intel’s 14th generation Core i9 processor 14900 HX, ROG Strix also impresses with its RTX 4080 support up to 175 watts on the graphics card side.

There is also a MUX switch.

Offering 32 GB capacity and 2 TB Gen 4.0 SSD support along with 5600 MHz DDR5 RAM, ROG Strix has 1 additional slot for upgrade.

By optimizing the cooling system with tri fan technology and liquid metal paste, Asus aims to achieve higher performance with a better thermal performance.

ROG Nebula HDR

With the screen consisting of 10,000 mini LEDs and more than 2000 lighting zones, as well as ROG Nebula HDR, the image in games and movies is now much more realistic and impressive.

The algorithm ROG engineers created with a study of more than 150 videos and more than 2000 images, together with additional hardware that can process up to 250 images per second, takes the HDR experience to a much different level. And now this experience will also be available on ROGs with 18-inch screens.
