It is one of the historic days for the Chinese technology brand Xiaomi. The brand introduced its electric car, which it has been planning and announcing for a long time, today. We should start by saying that it has made a very “ambitious” entry for the new electric car with the model name SU7.
The car, whose battery was introduced in the first place, is quite assertive in terms of range. All brands in the Chinese market focus on ranges over 1000 kilometers. Xiaomi also got its share of this cake. According to the information given at the launch, a collaboration was made with CATL for the battery. The car has an 800V silicon carbide high voltage CTB integrated battery with a voltage of 871V and a volume efficiency of 77.8%. The kWh version producing 150 power has a range of 1200 kilometers, and the version producing 132 kWh power has a range of 1000 kilometers.
The brand stated that the car will have 3 different unit options. These engines, called V6, V6S and V8, are currently in production. V6 and V6S have 21 thousand RPM acceleration power. In addition to these engines, which produce 400 Nm and 500 Nm of torque respectively, there will also be a V8 engine option. The V8 unit will be produced in 2025. The brand also talked about laser winding rotor technology. Xiaomi, which stated that it was working in this field, claimed that the speed could reach 35,000 rpm according to laboratory preliminary research tests.

The main information and multimedia screen of the car, whose main motto is “comfort and safety”, is 16.1 inches. Xiaomi is making one of the firsts here. Because the screen has 3K quality resolution, which is not a common feature in other brands. In addition, the car also has a 56-inch head-up display feature that can be projected onto the windshield.
