According to data shared by the Shibburn website, SHIB’s burn rate has seen a significant increase in the last 24 hours, increasing by more than 237%. Meanwhile, the leading meme coin SHIB has once again dropped from the top 10 list of the largest wallets on the Ethereum network.

According to Shibburn’s website, the burn rate of the Shiba Inu has increased by a whopping 237% in the last 24 hours. This indicates that 13,995,147 SHIBs have been removed from circulation through the joint efforts of the community. The biggest burn here was done by an address ending with -ffdeaa: the meme coin burn of 8,495,098.

Whales and SHIB

WhaleStats, which collects data on wallets on several leading blockchains, reports that the popular meme coin SHIB has emerged from the top 10 list of assets held by the 100 largest whales in Ethereum. This is the second time this month that whales now hold MANA, stETH and ANT as their largest holdings.

Despite this, thousands of new users continue to join the SHIB network. Over the past 24 hours, the total number of SHIB investors has increased by nearly 1,000 to now 1,266,039.

Finally, the meme coin price is at $0.000008616, down 3.37% in the last 24 hours, according to data provided by CoinMarketCap at the time of this writing.
