Ripplere-locked 800 million XRP tokens in escrow accounts. The company attracted the attention of the community while carrying out these transactions in three stages.
First in process While 100 million tokens are locked, the second in process 200 and 500 million tokens in the third transaction locked. The transactions included tokens with a total value of around 475 million dollars.
According to data from Whale Alert, it turned out that Ripple did not follow the monthly schedule it set for its XRP escrow service. The company usually unlocks 1 billion XRP on the first of each month and then puts 800 million XRP back into escrow wallets.
Will Ripple Lock Up the Remaining Tokens?
As we reported as Koinfinans.com, these tokens are unlocked in three stages and are 500, 400 and 100 million. The exchange locks 500, 200, 100 XRP tokens in the escrow wallet again. However, on March 1, 2024, 500 million tokens were unlocked. The company later tried to unlock more tokens but failed.
It remains unclear whether the remaining tokens will be unlocked this month. The company surprised by unlocking 600 million XRP tokens in February. However, on February 25, the error regarding the remaining 400 million tokens was resolved and the locks were opened.
