Armed with the colors of the red flag, Aselsan members walked confidently into the future at the 100th Anniversary Republic March. Thousands of Aselsan members came together in the march around Eymir Lake. ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol shared the 29 October Republic Day excitement of the Aselsan family, who walked with Turkish flags in their hands.
Aselsan executives, ASİL Sports and Art Communities, Aselsan employees and retirees, Aselsan MTAL students, and Ankara Science High School students attended the march held in Ankara, the capital of the Republic.

While ASİL Cycling Group started the march with bicycles, Aselsan MTAL and Ankara Science High School students participated in the march by carrying the Turkish Flag and the Aselsan flag. Aselsan members who completed the 11-kilometer republic march course around Lake Eymir were entitled to receive a medal specially designed for the 100th anniversary.
Aselsan General Manager Akyol celebrated the 100th anniversary of the republic in his speech before the march. Addressing Aselsan members, Akyol said:
“We met to experience the enthusiasm of the Republic together. We are a company that left its mark on the half century of our 100-year-old republic. We are marching to commemorate our independence march. I remember with mercy all our martyrs who died for the sake of the country, especially Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

When we entered the struggle for independence, we were not given the weapons we wanted to buy with our money. The republic that we earned with our blood and lives was inherited from our ancestors. We overcame unfair embargoes with our advanced and national technology. For 100 years, we have encountered embargoes whenever we needed them. We are Aselsan As a company, we defeated all embargoes with the national systems we developed. We are now entering the second century. We are starting the beginning of a new vision in the Turkish Century with this march. We meet the needs of our security forces with more than 500 products.
In the new period, we will work to do better and break new ground in our field. Countries that embargo us say we should come and look at Turkey again. We are in favor of peace, brotherhood and alliance. We did better than what we couldn’t get from outside, we did what was competitive in the world. “We will march day and night to develop more advanced technology.”
