The Russian CEO has issued a statement cursing the war in Ukraine. Although the billionaire entrepreneur was born in Russia, it is known that he has a Ukrainian father.
Storonsky is also a British citizen. Although the famous name remained silent on the subject for a long time, he finally broke this silence and explained:
I want to publicly share with you exactly what we’ve been feeling since day one: war is never the answer. War is a completely wrong and unnecessary step and it must end as soon as possible.”
Vlad Yatsenko, the Ukrainian co-founder of Revolut, had recently cursed this war.
Revolut has also launched a special program to help its users in Ukraine, and there will be no transaction fees for transactions to Ukraine.
In his letter, Storonsky also stated that Revolut users donated more than 1 million pounds to Ukraine within 24 hours. Revolut will also pay for each transfer made, and the company will also donate until a total of £1.5m is seen over the next 7 days.
More than 2,150 employees of Revolut are located in Russia and Ukraine. Storonsky, in his statement on the subject, emphasized that they also think about their employees. Revolut may not have stopped its services in Russia yet for this reason.
