Real estate Düsseldorf: Housing construction is faltering – how much are rents rising?

Dusseldorf Where customers currently still visit the wholesale store of the retail group Metro and the electronics chain Media Markt in Düsseldorf’s trendy Flingern district, an urban and sustainable district is to be created in the coming years.

Under the name “D.Strict”, the asset manager Swiss Life Asset Managers is planning a district with 1,500 new apartments, a daycare center, a primary school and senior-friendly apartments and care facilities on a 73,000 square meter sub-area.

“D.Strict” is still in its infancy. But projects like this are intended to meet the great need for living space in the state capital of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Rents will nevertheless continue to rise, only purchase prices will come under pressure in 2023.
