Real Vision CEO Raoul Palthinks crypto will be the fastest growing asset class in world history.
Speaking in a new interview with Bankless Brasil, Pal noted that the market cap of crypto could increase 100 times in the next ten years.
The current market capitalization of crypto assets is currently around $2.2 trillion.
“If I look at all the other asset classes in the world; stocks, bonds, real estate, these all have a market capitalization of $250-350 trillion. If I look at the total derivatives markets, I see that the total value is $1 quadrillion.
When I look at the current conditions, crypto assetsIt has a very reasonable chance of increasing its total value by 100 times to become a $250 trillion asset class, which will represent one of the biggest growths of the entire asset class. The fact that the total value reaches this level is a reality that coincides with the idea that 3.5 billion people will use crypto assets.
So 3.5 billion users in 2030 [varsa], the market cap will be something like $250 trillion. This estimate is, of course, just a simple estimate using network adoption models.”
Pal added that new crypto regulations, which will take place worldwide, present less downside for major cryptos, but a greater risk for smaller, riskier altcoins.
“I don’t know what format there will be regulations. Regardless, let’s keep the trends going up and move up again with a sharp 50% rise or watch a sideways market for a year. I think we will see both of these price movements throughout 2022.”
