However, there are many photos on the left that we cannot tell whether it is a pit or a hill. In fact, it is not wrong to think that these are hills. Because if there were no rings on the topographic maps showing the roughness and elevation of the area, we would not be able to read these maps.

Of course, even if we have a topographic map, it is more difficult to interpret the images shared by NASA. Because there are dozens of hills in some craters, and there are pits and cliffs in them.
It is also said that some of these pits may be connected to each other underground. So it can be a network of tunnels, just like an underground city. However, despite the absence of life, it is quite remarkable that it remained this way for a long time and that it formed spontaneously.
In addition, since the soil and rock structure of Mars is different from Earth’s, the landforms are also unusual. For example, the image on the left in the above photo is actually a hill. But inside the pit inside there is another hill. It is already inside a crater. So it has such an unusual appearance, probably because it takes the shape of the surface of the striking meteorite.
